Meet the Interns: Discovery Channel’s Sarah Paronto

Sarah dressed up as Chompie Jr. for one of our #ChompieAttacks!

This is a final guest blog post from our fantastic summer intern, Sam Piccirillo – thanks for all of your hard work and best of luck back at school!

It’s here: the last day of my summer internship.  For the past 11 weeks, I’ve worked as Discovery Communications’ digital communication and social media intern.  I blogged, researched, tweeted… the list goes on and on.  Spending my summer here in Silver Spring taught me about this huge company that operates with integrity and truly works to satisfy curiosity in every way.  I’ve even taken a page out of Sarah Paronto’s book and will continue my internship for a second semester.

Sarah has been a programming intern for Discovery Channel since the spring semester and is our featured Silver Spring intern.  She is a student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County studying media communications and French.

Hi Sarah! Congratulations on such an amazing internship! My name is Lyndi Patten and I’ve got something pretty funny for your blog! My boyfriend, the sweetheart he is, has a tattoo (covering his entire stomach) all things Shark Week! Oh yes, the words “Shark Week” (in the exact font of the show) frames the top and below rests a portrait of a, open mouth, great white shark head. It’s surrounded by waves and is a complete dedication to, evidently, “the best week of the year,” Shark Week! People don’t believe it till they see it so if you or anyone else at your corporate office would like a good laugh, he would be OVERJOYED to show you! Thanks for reading this and hopefully this story at least made someone laugh :)
