Jeremiah Duggar Shows Off His Artistic Skills

Last month, 125 Discovery employees were joined by familiar faces from several of Discovery’s networks for a special project: helping Habitat for Humanity build homes for families left homeless after the devastating tornadoes that ravaged Alabama on April 27.

The team had several sets of extra hands thanks to TLC‘s Duggar family, and tomorrow night (November 1) you can catch a special 19 Kids & Counting episode at 9pm ET/PT documenting the trip to Birmingham (and featuring several of my co-workers). See what the littlest kids helped with in the clip below, and help contribute to the reconstruction efforts by purchasing a Storm Chasers or 19 Kids & Counting t-shirt with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity Birmingham.

Making New Friends, New Homes

After three days of Rebuilding Alabama with Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham, our teams will be heading back to Miami, New York and Silver Spring tomorrow morning. It’s been an eye-opening and rewarding time for our employees and our thanks go to Habitat for Humanity, the families we were able to meet and help and to the people of Alabama that welcomed us. While the work is far from done, we are proud to be a part of the reconstruction.

Our own Kasey-Dee Gardner has been volunteering and caught up today with Shawn and Jamie Burchfield, one of the Pleasant Grove families we have been working with, in the video below:

The Strong Arm of the Law: Investigation Discovery Debuts ‘Big Law: Deputy Butterbean’

Deputy Butterbean Shows Off His 'Guns'

Law enforcement officials are often intimidating enough with the uniform, but what happens when you’re confronted with a former heavyweight boxer turned Sheriff’s deputy? Investigation Discovery will have the answer tonight with the premiere of Big Law: Deputy Butterbean.

Eric Esch, more popularly known as Butterbean, garnered national attention in the 90s in his stars and stripe shorts taking on opponents in the ring. In 2011, you’ll find Butterbean (or Bean) working to keep the residents of Walker County, Alabama safe. Premiering on Tuesday night with new episodes at 10 & 10:30pm ET/PT, Deputy Butterbean and his best friend and partner, Deputy Hadder, tackle a suspected meth lab and a meth maker in the premiere. Then, on a somewhat lighter note, Butterbean is hit with 50,000 volts as he works to get Taser certified. Is it enough to take him down? Check out a preview below and find out what’s coming up on future episodes.
