Outlaw Empire's Kurt Sutter
Movies and television have long been fascinated with outlaws — from the fictional characters of Kurt Sutter‘s Sons of Anarchy to historical and modern-day misfits. However, tonight at 10pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel will premiere an all-new series that looks at American outlaw dynasties with the help of Sutter.
There will an episode on outlaw bikers, naturally, but Kurt Sutter’s Outlaw Empires also brings viewers inside accounts of the Crips, the Irish mob, Nuestra Familia, the Italian mafia and the Aryan Brotherhood, and their role in America’s history. As Executive Producer Sutter explains, “This isn’t about making a judgment call on who’s good or bad. As a storyteller, I’m drawn to these personal, intimate accounts of why these men made the choices they made, and what it’s like to be a member of an outlaw organization.
