‘Deadliest Catch’ is Back! Fan-Favorite Show Returns For Its 11th Season

April 13, 2015 | by lstewart

The wait is nearly over! Deadliest Catch returns to Discovery Channel tomorrow night at 9pm ET/CT – complete with massive storms and a super typhoon – and once again proving that life is never dull on the Bering Sea. New government regulations that have increased the Bardi crab quota by 400 percent also shake up the new season: just as these changes mean potentially huge paydays for Captains and crew, they also mean that it’s first come first serve, forcing everyone to risk it all to grab their piece of the bounty.

The Bait, an hour-long pre-show that provides an inside look into the well-loved series, is also back, where the captains themselves will talk fishing, drama and what to expect in that night’s episode.

And the behind-the-scenes access doesn’t end there! Fans can immerse themselves in a virtual tour of the Deadliest Catch fleet through Catch360, a digital interactive experience that places users inside the show’s most popular ships.

Catch (get it?!) a sneak peek of what’s to come below, and don’t miss the season premiere tomorrow, April 14 beginning at 8pm ET/CT!

Celebrating 10 Seasons of Deadliest Catch on Discovery

April 22, 2014 | by kdelmonico

It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years since the launch of Discovery Channel’s iconic series, Deadliest Catch. For the past ten seasons, we have followed our favorite crab fishermen in the Bering Sea as they perform one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

Tonight, the baddest men of the sea return to Discovery to kick off their tenth season, though this season will be anything but status quo. After the death of Captain Phil, his son Josh Harris is back to carry on his family’s legacy and prove himself as captain of the Cornelia Marie. There are also big changes on the horizon for the F/V Northwestern – embarking on her right of passage, Sig Hansen’s 18-year-old daughter Mandy joins the ranks as deckhand.

If you haven’t already chosen your crew, there’s still time to play the Deadliest Catch Fantasy Game. This year’s grand prize is a trip to Dutch Harbor to meet the captains and tour the boats, so die-hard fans should be sure to get their crew ready before tonight’s premiere! You can also find out what it’s actually like to spend a day on a crab fishing boat with Deadliest Catch Raw, a stream of over 300 hours of never before seen footage from the cutting room floor.

Check out a sneak peek of season 10 below and don’t miss a special episode of The Bait at 8PM ET/PT right before the season premiere of Deadliest Catch. Follow @DeadliestCatch on Twitter tonight for live updates as we celebrate 10 years of Catch!

After 100 episodes chronicling the emotional and physical journeys of the men who risk their lives for one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, Deadliest Catch returns for a new season on Discovery Channel tonight.

With their fishing quota slashed by almost half and some of the harshest conditions they have ever faced, the crews worry about their strategies on the sea and how they’ll make ends meet back on land. The bonds of family and friendship are tested this season as newcomers and old faces find themselves in new roles, as Jake Harris joins the crew of the Northwestern, with Josh working as a Time Bandit deckhand.

A new season of Deadliest Catch premieres tonight at 9pm ET/PT on Discovery. Check in on GetGlue to earn the exclusive Deadliest Catch premiere sticker.
