Discovery Channel Invites Fans to ‘Meetup,’ Host ‘Brew Masters’ Parties

November 12, 2010 | by aharris

Brew MastersNext Sunday, November 21, Discovery Channel will debut a new series about a popular, historic and delicious subject — brewing beer. Brew Masters introduces viewers to this world through the eyes of Sam Calagione, the founder of Dogfish Head Brewery. Sam and the Dogfish Head team travel the world looking for exotic ingredients and discovering ancient techniques to produce beers of astounding originality. (Can I sign up?)

To celebrate the new series, Discovery Channel is inviting viewers to set up their own Brew Masters Meetups. To get things started, Sam and the extended Dogfish Head team are hosting several parties across the country, and you can add your own at a local restaurant or pub. Right now we have 24 Meetups from Apex, NC to Portland, OR. You can even enter through Sunday to win one of 100 Brew Masters Party Packs.

To get all the scoop on the series, “like” our new Brew Masters Facebook Page.

Sci Fi ScienceScientific fact: we have lots of passionate fans of our networks. Whether it’s Deadliest Catch fans who travel to Seattle for the annual Catch Con or Beekman Boys watchers who build Lego versions of the farm featured on Planet Green, we love them all.

In order to bring together another group of dedicated viewers, Science Channel is hosting a Washington, D.C. meetup for the premiere of Sci Fi Science on Wednesday, September 1. Not in the D.C. area, check out for info on how you can connect with other fans (by organizing your own meetup, joining a chat next week with Dr. Michio Kaku and more).

Sci Fi Science premieres on Wednesday, September 1 at 10pm ET/PT on Science Channel (preview below).
