TLC is Bringing on the ‘Bling’

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering where the bling-tastic creations featured on My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding come from, wonder no more! Meet Sondra Celli, the Boston-based designer whose head-turning creations are the subject of TLC’s new show, Bling It On, premiering tonight at 10/9c.

Proving that the bride is always right, on tonight’s episode Sondra works on crafting a neon wedding gown for a Vegas bride who’s looking to stand out on her big day. Something tells me that if she was walking down the aisle in one of Sondra’s designs, she succeeded in that goal!

Bling It On premieres tonight on TLC at 10pm ET/PT.

‘Gypsy Wedding’ Crosses the Atlantic as TLC Profiles American Gypsies

Another one of those series is My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, which gives us an insiders glimpse at gypsy and traveler culture in England and Ireland. Their dress and traditions seem unusual to most Americans but, you might be surprised to discover that in places like Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina and West Virginia, you’ll find American gypsy communities.

This Sunday, at 10pm ET/PT, viewers will get an unprecedented look at American gypsy life — from their homes to their elaborate weddings — in My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. You can learn more about their culture at TLC.com and check out the sneak peek below of Sunday’s premiere!

TLC Introduces Viewers to Gypsy Culture in ‘My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’

While American audiences have been simultaneously enamored and dismayed by programs like Jersey Shore, across the Atlantic another show profiling a subculture has captured the attention of UK audiences: My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. The show delves into the mysterious and fascinating lives of gypsies — from their courtship rituals to their jaw-dropping wedding celebrations, and will debut on TLC on Sunday, May 29 at 9pm ET/PT.
