Heartbreakers to Pit Bulls: Discovery Wraps TCA 2014

TCA LogoYesterday, several of Discovery’s networks unveiled upcoming programming at the Summer TCA Tour, and it was announced that Discovery Fit & Health will become Discovery Life in 2015 and Animal Planet’s Rick Holzman has been promoted to General Manager of the network. Five Discovery Networks Among Primetime Emmy Nominees

Emmy AwardsThis morning, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which will be presented on August 25 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel and OWN all nabbed nominations, including Discovery’s MythBusters and TLC’s Who Do You Think You Are? for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, and Discovery’s Alaska: The Last Frontier and Deadliest Catch for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, OWN’s Running from Crazy for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special and Science’s Through the Wormhole in Outstanding Informational Series.

In total, Discovery Communications’ networks received 14 nominations:
