Kitten Cam KittensHere at Discovery, we’ve been buzzing for a while about the company’s next live animal cam, after great success with Discovery Channel’s Shark Cam and Penguin Cam. Well, brace yourself for something that can only be described by two words: Too Cute! Animal Planet’s Kitten Cam is live now on AnimalPlanet.com…and just what you needed to prepare for the return of Too Cute!face on Saturday, October 13 at 8pm ET/PT on Animal Planet.

And, if your boss or co-workers give you any flack for tuning in, share this recent research from Japan on how adorable animals can actually improve workplace effectiveness! Penguins Check Out the Latest Addition to Their Home at SeaWorld San Diego

There are a few basic truths in life that we can all agree upon, such as bad news comes in threes or, despite all efforts, you will turn into your mother. Another one of those truths is that the Internet paired with adorable animals is irresistible. You probably remember Panda Cam (live from the Smithsonian National Zoo) and Shark Cam (brought to you by Discovery Channel and the Georgia Aquarium)…now, it’s time for the penguins to shine!

As we get ready for the March 18th premiere of Frozen Planet on Discovery Channel in the U.S., the network has teamed up with SeaWorld to bring you Penguin Cam — a 24/7 live feed from SeaWorld San Diego’s Penguin Encounter attraction. The Encounter has five species of penguins (over 300 of ‘em!) and you can tune in for daily feedings, educator presentations and weekly chats with experts (starting March 19 at 12pm ET). You can find out what it takes to bring Penguin Cam to you on Discovery.com and make sure to check out the live feed! (If you’re like me, you’ll have one of your two screens dedicated to these guys.)

Happy Shark Week!

Great White InvasionFor many, Shark Week is one week a year — a chance to get together with friends or family, relax and enjoy those gorgeous creatures of the deep. However, here at Discovery, we’ve been busy since last August planning for an even more jawesome (I now only use sharkified words) annual event.

I have the pleasure of working with a team of ridiculously talented and passionate folks from across the company to make sure each year is even better (we’re now in year 24)…and we’re all just as excited as you are for tomorrow night! It’s hard to highlight it all, but here are some links to allow you dive in (I can’t help it!):
