October 13, 2011 | by aharris

Discovery’s networks are no strangers to Cons – CatchCon, San Diego Comic-Con… not to mention those criminals on Investigation Discovery. So it’s logical that beginning tomorrow visitors to New York Comic-Con will be treated to panels and more courtesy of Animal Planet and Science.

Finding Bigfoot TEamOn Friday, the cast of Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot (Bobo, Cliff, Matt and Ranae) will be joined by 30 Rock‘s Judah Friedlander for an hour-long panel to talk about the hit series and the network’s Halloween special, Finding Bigfoot: Birth of a Legend. The action starts at 6:30pm, but only the first 100 will receive a special Bigfoot t-shirt!

Science LogoThe following day, Science is bringing Comic Con attendees a chance to meet Rod Roddenberry (son of famed Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry) and the team from Obscura Antiques featured in the quirky and addictive Oddities. Rod’s autograph session starts at 10:30am in the Autograph Pavillon and Evan, Mike and Ryan from Oddities will be there at 4:15pm. However, the can’t miss portion of the day is the network’s 1:15pm panel featuring Trek Nation, Oddities and Ridley Scott’s Prophets of Science Fiction (with Dr. Michio Kaku, to boot!)

Not in New York? Don’t worry. You can follow Animal Planet and Science Channel on Facebook and Twitter for updates:
