Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic launched in 1994. Today, 12 media brands reach nearly 130 million cumulative subscribers across 34 countries and territories. Managed by Enrique Martinez, executive vice president and managing director, the offices are headquartered in Miami. Regional offices are located in Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.
Discovery Channel has maintained its leadership ranking as the top-rated real-world entertainment channel in Latin America for 11 consecutive years and continues to be the leader among the factual channels in 2008 (Ibope, August 2008).
Two Hispanic brands distributed in the U.S. market are also managed by this territory: Discovery en Español (launched 1998) and Discovery Familia (launched 2007).
