The Discovery Times Channel features world premiere specials once a month on Tuesday nights. The remainder of the primetime schedule is organized around themes such as the presidency, race, religion and education. For example, for its launch in March 2003, Discovery Times explored the next wave of terrorism with two extraordinary documentaries: TERROR'S CHILDREN looked at the lives of young children in Karachi forced to bear adult responsibilities, and AL QAEDA 2.0 examined why the terrorist organization remains a clear and present danger.
In addition, the weekly series IN THEIR OWN WORDS WITH SIR DAVID FROST brings the renowned Sir David's historic interviews with world newsmakers to viewers, providing a vital framework for today's world events. For almost 40 years, Frost has interviewed fascinating political leaders and stars of stage and screen often at critical junctures in their careers.

Taking advantage of the expertise of The New York Times, PAGE ONE is a nightly three-minute program that gives viewers a look at the stories headed for the next day's front page of the newspaper. PAGE ONE is hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheryl WuDunn and includes interviews with The Times's editors and reporters and previews of the newspaper's powerful photographic images.
