David Zaslav Delivers Green TV Keynote at MIPCOM

MIPCOM is the leading global event for creating, co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content around the world. It attracts a wide variety of decision-makers from across the TV, film, digital and audiovisual content, production and distribution industry.

Zaslav was on hand to deliver the Green TV Keynote Address, which was presented in a Q&A interview format moderated by SuChin Pak from Planet Green's G WORD. In addition to explaining the genesis of Planet Green, Zaslav also highlighted Discovery's global brand strength and extensive international business, and shared clips of Planet Green programming and other brand-defining content such as Animal Planet's WHALE WARS, which is part of the company's program sales slate at MIPCOM.

Zaslav told the crowd that Discovery was at MIPCOM this year to declare that we are "open for business" in terms of streamlining access to the company's world-class brands and content for producers, buyers and other partners - including offering broadcast windows on Discovery programs in international markets outside of the U.S., as well as expanded licensing and co-financing opportunities.

The MIPCOM event was part of a stepped up effort by Discovery's international division to build a more robust international program sales and licensing business for Discovery.
