(New York, NY) CASH CAB, the popular game show on Discovery Channel, won a Creative Arts Emmy® for ‘Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show' at the 35th Annual Creative Arts Daytime Emmy's®.  This was the second time the show has been nominated, (the series received its first Daytime Emmy® nomination in 2007) and it's first win.  The ceremony was held Friday, June 13 at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Hall.  Segments from Friday's ceremony will be televised during the Daytime Emmy® Awards, airing June 20th on CBS television network from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

In CASH CAB, host Ben Bailey gets behind the wheel of a New York City taxi to quiz contestants on immersive, general knowledge questions all the way to their destination.  As the meter ticks, the questions get harder and the stakes get higher.  Miss three questions, and Ben pulls the CASH CAB over and ejects the contestants onto the sidewalk, no matter where they are.  CASH CAB, which first premiered in December of 2005, airs weekdays at 6pm on the Discovery Channel.

Additionally, the Creative Arts Emmy® for ‘Outstanding Children's Series' was awarded to Discovery Channel's GREATEST INVENTIONS WITH BILL NYE.  More information on Discovery Channel programming can be found at press.discovery.com.
