Discovery Channel's Emmy-Nominated Game Show CASH CAB Returns for a Third Season on April 30

March 30, 2007

Silver Spring, Md – Emmy-nominated series CASH CAB returns for an all new season on Monday, April 30 at 5PM (ET/PT), Hail this cab and you might win money for correctly answering a series of trivia questions-- but answer three questions wrong, and you're out on the street.

Host Ben Bailey once again gets behind the wheel of a New York City taxi to quiz contestants on immersive, general knowledge questions all the way to their destination. As the meter ticks, the questions get harder and the stakes get higher. Bailey asks contestants questions such as, “Though the project tanked, Henry Ford established an Amazonian plantation to provide his company with what resource?”  If you answered “rubber,” you would be awarded cash but an incorrect answer would mean a strike. Miss three questions, and Ben pulls the Cash Cab over and ejects the contestants onto the sidewalk, no matter where they are!

Ben Bailey got his start working at LA’s famed “The Comedy Store,” where he landed his first stand - up job. He has since traveled the world performing his stand- up routine. Ten years later, he jumped at the chance to host CASH CAB – though he needed to pass the city’s exam to get his cabbie’s license!

With more challenging questions and new elements added to stump the contestants, the third season will be one that viewers won’t want to miss!

CASH CAB is produced for the Discovery Channel by Lion Television.  Tony Tackaberry and Allison Corn are the executive producers for Lion Television, For the Discovery Channel, Julie Rose McCully is executive producer.
