Discovery Communications Names Darin Prill Senior Vice President of Architecture and Development

(Silver Spring, Md.) Discovery Communications today announced that Darin Prill has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Architecture and Development, reporting to Chief Information Officer, David Kline.  Prill is based at Discovery’s global headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.

In his new role, Prill heads a team of senior IT architects and engineers focused on aligning Discovery’s technology and overall business strategies. Prill will work across the technology groups at Discovery to integrate and align strategy and vision, and provide technical governance.

Prill joins Discovery with more than 18 years in information technology architecture and development, including significant experience in the cable industry.  Most recently, he served as Vice President of Architecture for Cablevision where he was responsible for architecture and technology strategy across all of Cablevision’s lines of business, including cable and communications, Rainbow Media, and MSG.  Prior to Cablevision, Prill was with Adecco serving as Vice President for Technology, with responsibility for end-to-end technology for the company’s North American staffing division.

Prill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from SUNY Excelsior College.
