Discovery Networks Launches Three New Channels in Malaysia

(Kuala Lampur, Malaysia) Kuala Lumpur - Discovery Networks Asia, a division of the number-one nonfiction media company Discovery Communications, today announced that it is launching three new channels in Malaysia on the Astro platform on 1 May 2007: Discovery Science, Discovery Home & Health and Discovery Real Time. The new channels join Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Discovery Travel & Living, which reach over two million households in Malaysia.
Reaching 70 million households worldwide, Discovery Science provides a stimulating look at the impact of science and technology on our everyday lives through a range of programming focused on cutting-edge scientific research and discoveries, exploration, astronomy and space. Discovery Home & Health and Discovery Real Time are part of Discovery Lifestyle Networks, an international portfolio of lifestyle channels that also includes Discovery Travel & Living, which launched in Malaysia in 2005. Discovery Home & Health offers female-focused content on relationships, babies, beauty and wellbeing, while Discovery Real Time features practical programming on popular leisure pursuits, from cars, boats and motorcycles to home improvement, gadgets and fishing.
