Enrique (Henry) Martínez is Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic. Based in Miami, Martínez is charged with the strategic growth and advancement of Discovery’s business across Latin America as well as Discovery’s portfolio of U.S. Hispanic networks in the United States. In this role, Martínez oversees Affiliate and Advertising Sales, Programming, On- and Off-Air Marketing and Communications, and the overall development of the Discovery brands in the region.

Discovery Networks Latin America operates 10 brands across 34 countries, reaching 138 million cumulative subscribers, as well as two Hispanic brands distributed in the U.S. market. The regional headquarters in Miami also operates the Discovery Television Center, a network origination and post-production facility. Additional regional offices are located in Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.

Martínez has served in several senior leadership roles with Discovery Networks since joining the company in 1994. Previously, Martínez held the position of Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Operations, Discovery Networks International. In this role, Martínez introduced Discovery Kids to markets outside the U.S. and launched Animal Planet and People+Arts in conjunction with BBC Worldwide.

Prior to joining Discovery, Martínez served as General Manager for Dynamic Cablevision, a Miami cable system.

Martínez holds an MBA in business from the University of Miami in Florida and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California.
