Discovery Channel, Animal Planet & Planet Green Nominated for News & Documentary Emmy Awards

Emmy StatuetteThis morning, the National Television Academy announced nominations for the 31st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards — including seven for Discovery Communications!

Discovery Channel earned two nominations, one for Discovery Atlas: Egypt Revealed (Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Cinematography – News Coverage/Documentaries) and another for Wild Pacific: Survivors ( Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Cinematography – Nature).

Animal Planet‘s Yellowstone: Battle for Life earned two nominations for Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Cinematography – Nature and Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Music and Sound, and Wild Russia: Kamchatka received a nomination for Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Cinematography – Nature.

Planet Green‘s topical documentary strand, Reel Impact, also nabbed two nominations: Outstanding Nature Programming for The Last Beekeeper and Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Research for Split Estate.
