Science Channel Explores the ‘Wonders of the Solar System’

A star trail in Tunisia, from Wonders of the Solar System

Tonight, Science Channel kicks off a fascinating series about some of the most interesting questions about our solar system in its newest series, Wonders of the Solar System.

  • Could Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, be home to our closest alien neighbors?
  • Are there lessons to be had about our own planet from new similarities between Earth and Mars?
  • What about those space volcanoes that spew ice instead of lava and fire?

Thanks to increasingly more sophisticated technology, the mysteries of far away planets once out of reach are now accessible to us. Wonders of the Solar System goes on a weekly journey to those fascinating, far away places. And if that weren’t cool enough, the series is hosted by rock star-turned-physicist Brian Cox (whose accent alone makes it worth tuning in).

Watch a preview of Wonders of the Solar System, which airs Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT, and check out Science Channel’s Space Quiz to see how much you know about our planetary neighbors.
