Discovery Education Partners with Cablevision for Technology Training for Teachers

Discovery Education teamed up last month with Cablevision’s nationally recognized education initiative, Power to Learn, to treat over 150 educators to a professional development event at Cablevision’s headquarters in Bethpage, New York.

Discovery and Cablevision featured a powerhouse lineup, including Philippe Cousteau, Discovery Education’s Chief Spokesperson for Environmental Education, and Debbie Myers, General Manager of Science Channel. In addition to promoting Science Channel’s new Head Rush programming block, educational trainers from Discovery Education led participants through a series of workshops that showcased new techniques and strategies for leveraging the latest educational technologies and Discovery Education’s digital content to improve student achievement in a host of disciplines including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
