As you may have heard, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network is launching on January 1, 2011. Last week, the OWN team shared a little bit more about what we’ll be seeing on the air come launch time.
If you’re an OWN Insider (this page will tell you how to sign up), you can get access to the OWN Insider Screening Room, which has clips from a number of shows airing the first week of January, such as…
- Enough Already!, in which organization and clutter expert Peter Walsh helps families get rid of the overwhelming clutter that is taking over their home and impeding them from living the life they want. Premieres Monday, January 3 at 8pm ET/PT.
- Master Class, which looks at eight “modern masters” hand-picked by Oprah Winfrey for their unique impact on the world, who share their successes, failures, triumphs, disappointments and heartbreaks. Master Class offers an unprecedented first-person insight into the brilliant minds of famous people we love, respect, and admire, including Jay-Z, Simon Cowell, Sidney Poitier, Dr. Maya Angelou, Diane Sawyer, Lorne Michaels, Dr. Condoleezza Rice and Oprah Winfrey. Premieres Sunday, January 2 at 10pm ET/PT.
- Anna and Kristina’s Grocery Bag, where two average home cooks try to tackle the culinary arts. Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic focus their efforts in the kitchen, putting popular cookbooks to the test. Each episode tackles one cookbook, with Anna and Kristina recreating the recipes as written and exploring how easy each dish is to prepare. Along the way, they offer entertaining and informative thoughts on ingredients, food-prep techniques and kitchen products. To judge the results, Anna and Kristina are joined by world-class chefs and food experts, who rate the meal and decide if the chosen cookbook delivers on its promises. Premieres Monday, January 3 at 3pm ET/PT.
There are a lot of other premieres that week, so check out the OWN website for more, and become an OWN Insider if you want the latest news as it breaks!
