On the heels of last week’s 10 Primetime Emmy nominations, Discovery Communications received 11 News & Documentary Emmy nods earlier this week — with Discovery Channel leading the way with seven. First Life with David Attenborough was nominated in three categories (Outstanding Nature Programming, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Graphic Design & Art Direction) and Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking was recognized with two nominations for Outstanding Science and Technology Programming and Outstanding Graphic Design & Art Direction.
