Spooktacular Fun: The Hub Celebrates Halloween with ‘Halloween Bash’

The Hub's Halloween BashAs pumpkins find their ways onto porches, we’re jumping into our countdown to the Halloween party of the year – The Hub Halloween Bash, premiering this Saturday at 8pm ET/7pm PT on The Hub.

Hosted by Kenan Thompson of Saturday Night Live, The Hub’s First Annual Halloween Bash is a star-studded, two-hour special that includes performances by pop-stars Cody Simpson and Fifth Harmony, and illusionist Nathan Burton. In addition, Nancy O’Dell of Entertainment Tonight, Tamera Mowry-Housley of The Real, Candace Cameron Bure of Make It or Break It, and Gina Rodriguez of Filly Brown (along with their furry pets in paw-stume) will all join the fun.

Fans joining the spooktacular party will also be treated to celebrity presenters including Bill Nye the Science Guy, Nolan Gould of Modern Family and Zachary Gordon of Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Earlier in the season, The Hub asked fans to submit photos of their best Halloween costumes in a variety of categories, and this past Sunday, the panel of celebrity judges, including Martha Stewart, Hal Sparks and Coco Jones, awarded “The Jackie” for the best Halloween costume of the year to Bill Freitag from Arizona for his costume as “Invisible Cowboy” in the “Blast from the Past” category (picture below!). Freitag wins the $25,000 grand prize and has a chance at a walk-on role on the Daytime Emmy® Award-winning series, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour.

Ready to jump into Halloween early? Martha Stewart shares her own Halloween ideas, from creepy crafts to spoooky treats, and The Hub has shared a gallery of costume submissions to inspire yours! Happy Haunting!
