Spotlight On: Stuff You Missed in History Class

Stuff You Missed in History ClassToday, we are highlighting one of my favorites of the amazing HowStuffWorks podcasts, Stuff You Missed in History Class. As I began driving to work about a year ago, I quickly tired of listening to the same handful of songs on the radio, thus inspiring my newfound love: podcasts.

While I may be slightly biased, one of my favorites is Stuff You Missed in History Class. I have always been a bit of a history nerd, so when Holly and Tracy take us through some of the cool, random, fascinating hidden gems of history, I am immediately intrigued. In true form, their iTunes store description best sums up the eccentric (and fun!) trip through history: “What is the story of Encephalitis Lethargica, a strange epidemic that sweet the world in the 1920s? How did Sophie Blanchard become the first female career balloonist?”

I highly recommend checking out Stuff You Missed in History Class, free at the iTunes store. The podcast is up for a Podcast Award in the Cultural/Arts category, so if you like it as much as I do, you can head over to the official website to vote for Stuff You Missed in History Class!
