Today marks World Autism Awareness Day, and Discovery Communications is helping to shed light on autism by participating in Autism Speaks’ signature “Light It Up Blue” campaign. Joining hundreds of companies around the world to draw attention to this important cause, Discovery is turning its global headquarters building blue tonight, running 15-second public service announcements across domestic networks and their websites, promoting the initiative on social media platforms, and handing out Autism Speaks pins to employees to show their support.
Autism Speaks is an organization dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and possible cure for autism. The organization strives to raise public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society and bring hope to those who deal with the hardships of this disorder.
