Discovery Education and Ford’s Theatre Host Virtual Field Trip to Honor President Lincoln’s Legacy

Tomorrow, March 26 at 1pm EST, Discovery Education and Ford’s Theatre will host a live, interactive virtual field trip for students nationwide commemorating the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.

The field trip will be hosted by Discovery Education’s Kyle Schutt and will feature expert insight from two of Ford’s Theatre teaching artists, Thembi Duncan and Stephen F. Schmidt. Students will learn about America at the time of Lincoln’s death, the conspiracy surrounding the events and the 16th President’s legacy, as well as be able to tour the working theatre – complete with a behind-the-scenes look at The Petersen House, the house where Lincoln died and is now maintained as a historic house museum.

Learn more about Ford’s Theatre in the video below, and be sure to head over to Discovery Education register for the virtual field trip tomorrow!
