If you had any doubt if YouTube, Vine and online video in general is a “thing,” go ahead and mark your calendar for VidCon 2016!
Just a few short days ago, about 20,000 attendees converged on Anaheim, California for the sixth annual VidCon, a three-day conference that brings together top YouTube creators, online video leaders and, most importantly, the community of fans that make the interwebs so great. This was only my second trip to VidCon, but the momentum and enthusiasm for the online video space was even more intense than last year.
Discovery Digital Networks — our original online video arm that includes the O.G. Philip DeFranco (his words, not mine), the amazingly talented SourceFed team and networks like TestTube and Seeker — was well represented on the floor, on panels and all around Anaheim. Check out some of the action below in photos…and stay tuned for some great content from SourceFed crew in the coming days – including a special SourceFedNERD #TableTalk with Phil DeFranco, Bree Essrig and special guest John Green (founder of VidCon and author of The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns and more).
