Laura joined the Discovery family in November 2014 as Director of Development for Discovery Digital Networks and has been a force behind and in front of the camera for our Seeker network — from traveling to Tanzania to shed light on Africa’s energy poverty problem (helping drive the passing of the Electrify Africa Act) to interviewing people about the habits they have developed to make them survive and thrive in Rituals with Laura Ling (a series inspired by her own detainment in North Korea in 2009).
