Ever wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes at EA SPORTS? Here’s your chance to find out!
Discovery Education is teaming up with the video game company and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) to host an interactive live virtual field trip, going inside EA SPORTS Tiburon Studios in Orlando, FL to explore the science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) powering today’s Madden NFL series.
During the 45-minute virtual event, students will be introduced to EA SPORTS engineers, animators, designers, analysts and producers at one of the company’s largest studios among their worldwide video game development facilities. Students will also go on an exclusive studio tour and get a firsthand look at motion capture – the process used to record movements of objects or people to animate digital character models – transforming a student from Florida’s Orange County Public Schools into a Madden NFL character. Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins will also be joining the virtual event and answering students’ questions.
The virtual field trip will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 1pm ET. Those classrooms interested in participating can register and submit questions ahead for Cousins and EA Sports experts to answer.
We’ll see you on the 14th!
