Discovery Employees Around the World Come Together for Eighth Annual Impact Day

On Friday, June 16, over 4,000 employees at Discovery Communications stepped away from their desks to participate in the company’s eighth annual day of global employee volunteerism, “Discover Your Impact Day.”

From Silver Spring to Beijing, employees in 60 offices across 37 countries participated in nearly 200 volunteer projects to help improve local communities worldwide. These projects included feeding the homeless, revitalizing local schools, cleaning community centers, improving conditions at pet adoption shelters, beautifying parks and waterways, and much more.

As part of Discovery Impact, the company’s corporate social responsibility umbrella, Impact Day celebrates Discovery’s purpose-driven mission and provides employees with an opportunity to give back in the communities where they live and work.
