The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting daily life for all. It is especially dire for children and families around the world who, with schools closed and businesses shut down, are at risk of losing access to healthy and affordable meals as well as educational resources.

At Discovery, we understand these are unnerving times and are responding to this crisis as best we can through the power and reach of our brand worldwide. In conjunction with two of our nonprofit partners – Save the Children and No Kid Hungry – Discovery is leveraging its on-air and social platforms to provide vital resources for all those effected. We are activating our audiences around the world to drive donations and provide food site locations for families in need. And until 5/16/20, Discovery will match consumer and employee donations.

Through Turn Up! Fight Hunger, our partnership with No Kid Hungry, funds raised in the U.S. will go to provide emergency grants to food banks and community groups helping families find meals during this crisis. We are also working with state and local governments in the U.S. to help educate the public about where they can access food resources. Internationally, our RISE initiative, a partnership with Save the Children’s, will drive donations to their Emergency Fund for Coronavirus that is globally providing nutrition, education, and healthcare to vulnerable families.
