DISCOVERY, INC. PROMOTES ROBERT VOLTAGGIO TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, AD SALES REVENUE AND PLANNING

Voltaggio to Continue to Oversee Key Sales Strategies for Discovery’s 17 Linear Networks and Digital Properties

New York, NY – August 1, 2019 – Discovery, Inc. today announced the promotion of Robert Voltaggio to Executive Vice President, Ad Sales Revenue and Planning, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Jon Steinlauf, Chief U.S. Ad Sales Officer at Discovery, to whom Voltaggio reports.

“Bobby has been a dedicated member of Discovery’s Ad Sales leadership team since he joined the organization nearly 15 years ago,” said Steinlauf. “He has consistently showcased his unparalleled pricing and planning acumen throughout his tenure, most notably following this past Upfront season where we successfully demonstrated to clients and agency partners the breadth and value of the newly expanded Discovery portfolio. His promotion is well earned and much deserved.”

In his new role, Voltaggio will continue to lead the development and implementation of key sales strategies, yield optimization and sales operations for Discovery’s suite of 17 networks and their digital properties, including Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, Lifestyle Digital Studios, the Discovery GO apps and Discovery’s social platforms. He will also continue to help lead Upfront and Scatter negotiations, building off of the success of the 2019/2020 markets. Voltaggio will retain management of the linear and digital pricing and planning organization, which includes commercial operations, systems, stewardship and the digital and training teams.

Voltaggio joined Discovery in 2005 as Vice President, Pricing and Planning and quickly accelerated through the organization, earning promotions to Senior Vice President, Pricing and Planning, and most recently Group Senior Vice President, Ad Sales, Revenue and Planning. Prior to joining Discovery, Voltaggio was Vice President, Pricing and Planning for AMC and WE tv, where he led the sales planning and traffic teams, developed financial models and maintained Upfront and Scatter rate cards. Voltaggio has also held leadership positions at ABC Family Networks.

Voltaggio holds a B.A. from Marist College. He is based in Discovery’s New York City office.
