Homestead Or Bust: Discovery’s ‘Homestead Rescue’ Returns For An All-New Season On Discovery

(New York) – The Raney family is back to battle all that mother nature can throw at them as they come to the aid of desperate homesteaders across the nation in a dramatic new season of HOMESTEAD RESCUE. Father Marty, daughter Misty, and son Matt will help struggling families learn new bush craft skills, protect their livestock, grow food, and face the most grueling challenges yet seen, leaving some with the stark decision to tough it out or pack it up and head back for civilization. Returning at a new time, an all-new season of HOMESTEAD RESCUE premieres Wednesday, November 8 at 9pm ET/PT, preceded by a special episode featuring never before seen footage at 8pm ET/PT.

In the last decade, two million Americans have escaped the pressures of urban existence for the promise of a simple life on the homestead. However, living off the grid is no easy feat, and statistics show that many homesteads fail – sometimes tragically.

But help is at hand for rookies on the edge of failure. Building ingenious log cabins, firing up ancient gas wells, fighting biblical storms, combating multiple apex predators, and breathing new life into failing homesteads are all in a day’s work for Marty, Misty, and Matt Raney. A cry for help to the Raneys brings salvation as homesteader hopefuls are taught how to turn their situation around and survive and thrive in the wilderness.
