Petfinder Kicks Off ‘Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week’
On Saturday, Petfinder kicked off Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week, which is aimed at encouraging would-be pet adopters to consider choosing a pet who might be “less adoptable” than others. These include pets with special needs, older pets, FIV+ cats, and black dogs, who are less frequently adopted than other colored dogs. Petfinder.com Foundation Gives Gulf Region Dogs ‘Helping Paw’
Some heartwarming news from Petfinder.com this week… Through Petfinder.com‘s efforts working with member shelters in the Gulf region and in New Jersey, a hundred dogs who were otherwise facing euthanasia in the Gulf region due to displacement related to the oil spill were transported earlier this month to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in New Jersey.
