Corporate contributions to political campaigns are banned at the federal level (e.g., United States Congress, President). Any monetary or other contributions by a Discovery officer, director, or employee to such candidates’ or committees’ campaigns must be made solely in the donor’s personal capacity. Under no circumstances will such contributions be reimbursed by Discovery.

Although limited corporate contributions to political campaigns may be permissible at the state and local levels, no such contributions may be made without prior written approval of the Executive Vice President of Public Policy and Corp/Gov Affairs. No single contribution above $1000 may be made without prior written approval of the General Counsel or Chief Corporate Operating Officer. All such corporate contributions will promote the interests of the company and will be made without regard to the private preferences of executives.
